Employee Spotlight: Doug Williams
We think our team is the bee’s knees, and because of that we’d like to show them off as part of an ongoing feature called Employee Spotlight.
This week we have Doug Williams. Doug is a Workplace Consultant here at ISCG and his customers say that he’s trustworthy, reliable and an all-around great guy! Doug is married to his wife, Kathy, and they have two adult children. He’s not a fan of social media (so don’t try to find him!) and enjoys being active
This week I asked Doug ten questions about himself; here are his answers!
How long have you been with ISCG?
I have been with ISCG since October 4th, 2004.
What is your favorite part about working at ISCG?
I believe that the respect that we have for our customers is my favorite part of working at ISCG. From the designers providing a successful solution, to the final phase of the furniture installation and the quality customer service afterwards, this all reflects the corporate philosophy of the desire to do what is right.
If you could do any other job for one day, what would it be?
I would like to be a professional golfer competing for the championship on the final day of the Masters Golf Tournament.
What three traits define you?
I am honest, trustworthy and have a sense of humor.
What food can you not resist?
A good cheeseburger. When my wife and I were in Ft. Myers Beach three weeks ago on vacation we found a great seafood restaurant. They also had a Kobe beef Cheeseburger on the menu. Of course, I ordered it. This cheeseburger was so good we went back there a second time just so I could get another one.
What’s your least favorite food?
Anything with dairy products in it. I am lactose intolerant!
Where is your favorite place to be?
Crystal Lake in Northern Michigan. Ft. Myers Beach is a close second but Crystal Lake is more accessible. We don’t own a cottage but have been fortunate to be renting a very nice place, that we share with my sister-in-laws family, for the past 15 years.
If you were one of the products that ISCG supplies, what would you be and why?
I would be a Haworth UniGroup Too panel! It’s not very good looking, been around for a long time but those panels are built to last! I also have to mention that the designers can’t stand it.
Haworth describes this product as; “With squared top trim and tight tolerances, UniGroup Too is sleek and rectilinear, sophisticated and classic. Its scaleable panel and component options can meet your interior needs with ease.”
What is one fact about you that may surprise our blog readers?
That I will be 68 years old in one month!
Do you have a favorite quote, and if yes, what is it?
I don’t know the source but I saw a picture of Jim Harbaugh sitting in his office and on the wall was this quote: “It’s much easier to attack your day with enthusiasm when you’re all pulling in the same direction”.
Stay tuned for future Employee Spotlight posts to learn more about our fantastic team!
