Employee Spotlight: Nives Kajtazovic
This installment of Employee Spotlight brings us to Nives and before you ask, it's pronounced like "Knee-vice". Nives is a Workplace Consultant extraordinaire here at ISCG. She's keen to understand her client's needs and approaches every situation with a clear, level head. She lives with her husband, Haris, and is an avid practitioner of yoga - maybe that's what helps her stay so composed and collected during stressful situations.
How long have you been with ISCG?
5 ½ years.
If you were a product ISCG provides, what would you be and why?
The Haworth Fern Task Chair. Nature is very inspiring to me as well so everything from the name of the chair to the design of the chair speaks to me. I like to say that I am a very FLEXIBLE and easy to work/live with (I hope) and I am all about work/life BALANCE. I like to be there and support those around me, at work and at home. I like making people around me feel comfortable.
What is your favorite part about working at ISCG?
ISCG feels like a second home and coworkers feel like family, honestly. My work I enjoy because of the difference that we make in our client’s spaces and the impact that we create for those that occupy the workplaces we bring to life. Every client and every space is a new challenge and a learning experience.
Do you have a favorite quote? And if so what is it?
“It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living.”
― Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment
What is one fact that may surprise our blog readers?
I tried peanut butter for the first time in my life this year. Now I actually eat it on toast occasionally, it’s pretty good!
Where is your favorite place to be?
Anywhere in the nature but especially on the beach! I love the sound of water, warmth of the sun and feeling of sand under my feet.
If you could do any other job for one day, what would it be?
Where can we find you on a lazy Saturday?
If it’s a nice day out, probably spending the day in Detroit, no plans in mind, just enjoying the day and visiting my favorite restaurants and shops. With my husband alone or few of our closest friends. Anywhere outside is always better than indoors for as long as the Michigan weather will allow 😊
What three traits define you?
Loyal, Honest and Reliable
As our resident yogi, what’s your favorite pose?
The Pigeon Pose. Hip opener poses are usually challenging for me to stay still, the Pigeon I can enjoy for a very long time.
(Nives even highlighted some great poses you can do at your desk back in 2016 - ICYMI)
What food can you not resist?
Not sure if it counts, but I cannot say no to Nutella. My house will be out of milk and eggs at times, but there is always a jar of Nutella.
